Madonna Inn And Castle Nolan Central Coast Treasures

Madonna Inn And Castle Nolan Central Coast Treasures

The most gorgeous wedding! The following are wedding related pictures that I took of daughter Britt and Adams wedding. They got married yesterday evening at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California. The venue in all of it’s glory, was a breathtaking and lovely place for this sweet couple to tie the knot!
Beyond belief beautiful this was a spectacular wedding extravaganza!
Britt and some friends went in on this AirBnB rental called Castle Nolan. They stayed in this beautiful property all week and had hosted this delicious rehearsal dinner for all of us!
Brittany planned every finite detail of this wedding week. It was simply amazing!
I even played a few songs at the reception. It was so much fun!
I had a chance to sight see and take in some of the beauty the central coast exudes…
these are live elephant seals in San Simeon California. It was so cold and rainy when I took this picture! Brrrrr! I assume they were trying to stay warm.
I leave this post here… Los Osos was a small town that I resided in for many years here on the Central Coast. My three youngest children grew up here and in Morro Bay… It has been so special to revisit this wonderful and beautiful area. I have had many nostalgic moments here this week! Tears and memories and love for this place…
It’s time to pack and head home to Phoenix… Can’t wait to hug my cat!

Unto Each Life And Wedding A Little Rain Must Fall

Unto Each Life And Wedding A Little Rain Must Fall

The California adventure has been just that, an adventure! We have seen some beautiful places… Monterey Pacific Grove⬇
While in Salinas I saw the most incredible double rainbow!!!
Above are some random family pics that I took while in Monterey… I just happened to like these.
The following are pics I have taken from San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.
From our motel room @ Courtyard Marriott in SLO ⬇
From Morro Bay, California!⬇
From Hungry Fisherman ⬆ off the beaten path, a locals favorite…
A must have while visiting in Morro Bay! Fresh fish & chips and Clam Chowder! Oh yum!
Pre wedding pizza party @ Woodstock’s Pizza in San Luis Obispo!
Brittany with her BFFs gathering desserts and lunches for her gathering of friends @ Castle Nolan where they are staying! Olive Garden catered rehearsal dinner there tonight!
With all of the rain poor Britt has been stressing about her very carefully meticulously planned wedding in the Madonna Inn Garden. They are having to move the wedding ceremony inside. I know this isn’t her first choice but is Plan B due to all of the rain. I’m sure that it will be lovely and a wonderful experience for all.
It has been fun! The wedding is tomorrow @ Madonna Inn. I am so enjoying being home on the central coast!

Off Like A Herd Of Turtles

Off like a herd of turtles... Cali Central Coast bound. Monterey/Salinas- Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo!
This is our spring break trip. It's always good to go home and visit. I wish we still had a place there. I used to have a no frills condo overlooking the ocean in Morro Bay. I still dream of that place...
I love walking on the beach and looking out over the ocean. I was spoiled and didn't even realize it when I lived there. The elementary school that my kids attended had a lovely view of the ocean from the playground. I can't tell you how many times I would get a call from the school asking me to bring another sack lunch for one of the kids because a seagull took off with their lunch! What a way to grow up huh? Imagine being able to look at the ocean from the elementary school swing set!
Is it any wonder that my grown daughter wanted to go home to get married? Phoenix has been home for 14 years now but it still doesn't feel like home! Anyway, we are the first to be traveling to California for the wedding extravaganza. We will be visiting relatives in the Salinas Monterey area for the weekend. Then on to San Luis Obispo for the wedding on Wednesday. I made sure to bring plenty of plastic bags for any purchases we make as the stores charge .10 cents a bag in Cali now lol! We just thought that was so interesting when we visited last year. California is an expensive place to live! We marvel at those who can afford the cost of living there. If I could afford to live there, I would!!!

We just crossed the border into Cali! Only 8 more hours in the car today. Moving right along...

The Most Amazing Ambassador

Attachment.png
My cat Twinkle has crossed over to the other side... she was diagnosed with diabetes just over 2 years ago. It's been a long hard road. I decided that she was starting to be really miserable so, I took her in and ended the suffering. Absolutely painful sorrow is what I am addressing today. Full encompassing loss. I'm glad she no longer is sick. So hard to come to that place where you know that, it's time to let them go! Ugh! Few things are so difficult. As sick as she was she still kissed my hand and hugged me with such great love! This was tough!!!!
She was the most amazing spirit/creature. She was great with my children and everyone she encountered. Words can't express how wonderful she was. A tremendous loss to our family. She was 15 years old. I had her beautiful spirit in my life for a long time! Now, she joins the many besties and family members I have lost!

I'm exhausted. Completely spent today... I need some sleep and a new perspective! Today I grieve, tomorrow I put one foot in front of the other and cherish the memories I have of her. Incredible the blessing she was to all of us! I used to say she was an amazing ambassador for her species.

Twinkle Darling, you are missed!

I visited this cover today and enjoyed every minute that I spent trying to get a good enough track to post. Roger Hodgson songs are very challenging to cover! So, I hope those of you who are familiar with this song can understand that I tried! My musical effort for today...
I love the sweet lyrics that are so relatable!

Planting Dreams

Planting Dreams

When I play and post my music I guess it’s rather like tending to my garden. Only very little grows from it. So maybe, it’s more like fishing… I try to bait my hook and I cast my music out into the sea of YouTube and SoundCloud lol. My line usually comes up out of the water empty but it’s just being there with the hope of catching something and the serenity that comes. I get to be my most authentic me when I’m in this room playing and creating. My escape from bills, husband and anything else that I don’t want to think about!
The cutest thing happened the other day. Something that touched my heart. My daughter was over to pick up her kids from the school bus. I was playing a few things that I had been working on for her. My G-Son who is 10 came into my studio with one of his friends and said “Gram can you play something for my friend, he thinks your awesome!” This young man seemed excited to hear my music! We had a talk about the recent changes to YouTube and I told them both how I would really like to try to do something with my music. Later that evening, I saw that this young man had subscribed to my YouTube channel! Awwwww!!!!! So sweet!

Whimsical Wednesday

Whimsical Wednesday

Yesterday, I played and posted a few songs to my YouTube Channel. I have always loved these songs. I thought I should visit them. They hold a place in my heart and I wanted them there on my channel.
Below, is a heartfelt attempt at getting more subscribers. What ever happened to ask, and you shall receive lol? I’m asking!
”Twas a day full of frustration and reward. I needed to take a day, and just play. Whimsical Wednesday…
