The Business Of Living Well vs Barely Living

This week has been fraught with things I didn't want to do and things I didn't want to think about! Admin/ household business chores, just to pay bills is a fight sometimes with creditors. Keeping on top of the business of life is a pain. Stressful sometimes. Worth it to fight hard when you have to.

A close relative had a leg amputated @ 80 years old on Monday. Vascular disease created such a blockage that her foot died. Horrible things can happen to you in old age... not fun to think about. Agonizing with someone over the loss of a limb, not fun.

This, was way more fun to think about! My ever so brief escape from the harsh realities that surround my thoughts.

I baked a batch of cupcakes for a family get together to color Easter eggs this afternoon. My daughter Delcee and Granddaughter Kadee will be with us to dye eggs. Pizza and cupcakes lol healthy? Not! Fun? Maybe a little!

I have decided that getting old isn't for sissies... I have also decided that should I ever encounter the need for chronic pain management- Medical marijuana would be the way I would want to manage my pain. No opioids for me thank you! I have no desire to become an opioid addict in my old age ugh!

Definitely reminds me to eat like this...P.V.D. Is a horrible disease. When you have to start loosing body parts of yourself to a disease that progresses till it takes you...Not a fun way to go! My husbands side of the family has these issues. My parents both had smoking related issues but nothing else.

This is probably too much food but it was so delicious! Almond butter is so good! Staying physically active, drinking a lot of water and trying to eat a healthy diet is the way I'm trying to avoid the meds of old age. Why take a magic pill when taking a power walk everyday might cure ya? No magic pills please!

Amelia just made this lovely picture for me. It reminds me to think like a kid. Life can be joyous, light hearted and freeing when you aren't bogged down with the business of life and living. I gotta say, I ran hard on these two legs during a walk jog this week. I will never take these legs for granted and I'm so grateful to have them! Thank you God!

It’s Such A Wavy Midnight When You Slip Into Insane

The title of my post is from the lyrics of my latest YouTube cover video. Bye Bye Love/Movin In Stereo Written by The Cars. Not my usual kind of cover to do but I enjoyed the challenge that it is to do. The time signatures of The Cars signature style sets them apart. Incredibly complex while a lot of the actual music is rather basic. That and the unusual and quirky vocals of Ric Ocasek. Impossible nearly to cover lol! Hey but I had fun trying! I seriously was a challenge and I never did perfect it but by this take, I decided to call it good and be done lol... So, for what it's worth, here was my rough draft...

It was interesting that the same day that I created this Cars Cover, I received this notification from AudioCopy (the app that I use to record my music for SoundCloud).

This was so much fun to see! I made the top #5 favorite list! Made me chuckle because all of the other the others who are listed here are electronic music. I guess this particular cover of mine fits because I used a few synthesizer keyboard voices to create this on my keyboard.

The other interesting thing about this track is that AudioCopy was having technical issues when I created the track. The app recorded this track in mono, not stereo. Made me so sad! I will have to re-record it in stereo sometime lol! Anyway, it's been fun to see all of the places that this track has been heard. All over the world thanks to the bit of promo AudioCopy gave me!

A fun boon from left field! Just like any kind of art, music is so subjective! Sometimes beauty is only in the eye of the beholder and other times, a lot of people seem to appreciate it!

Wish me luck as now would be a really good time for me to make some money with all of this. I need to make a life change and enough money to do that would be an amazing blessing!

I pretty much spent St. Patrick’s Day in the kitchen lol. Preparing food or cleaning up. Holidays are like that! Having been out of state for the better part of a week, I rather enjoyed a cooking and feasting day.

All of the effort and energy put forth to construct these media channels… It’s been fun and sometimes rewarding. The feeling of playing live is absolutely amazing! The reaction from people and the smiles… what an awesome feeling to look out and see the reaction and interaction. Omg It was awesome! I felt like I could go with that and run. I know somehow instinctively that I could do it! I could play somewhere. I just need to find a venue in which to launch from. It was just the experience that I needed to have to know that I could and be well received.

Surely, there’s a place for me. I’ve thought long and hard about doing something with all of this music. Especially the music that I have composed/written. What has come to me in my own head, seems to be like movie soundtrack scores lol. It is rather classical and unending… If I could work with say Warner Bros., Hallmark or any studio my originals would fit there. See if maybe you agree?

Rap has taken over SoundCloud. Very few other genres exist. It’s sad…

In fact, Rap has taken over the music industry period. Very few true musicians remain…I would like to one of them! What you won’t get from me is any kind of political agenda. My opinions on that will remain solely private and not shared lol!

I dare say the only social awareness that I stand up for and publicly endorse is that of domestic abuse /violence. I wrote a song about that!

Madonna Inn And Castle Nolan Central Coast Treasures

The most gorgeous wedding! The following are wedding related pictures that I took of daughter Britt and Adams wedding. They got married yesterday evening at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California. The venue in all of it’s glory, was a breathtaking and lovely place for this sweet couple to tie the knot!

Beyond belief beautiful this was a spectacular wedding extravaganza!

Britt and some friends went in on this AirBnB rental called Castle Nolan. They stayed in this beautiful property all week and had hosted this delicious rehearsal dinner for all of us!

Brittany planned every finite detail of this wedding week. It was simply amazing!

I even played a few songs at the reception. It was so much fun!

I had a chance to sight see and take in some of the beauty the central coast exudes…

these are live elephant seals in San Simeon California. It was so cold and rainy when I took this picture! Brrrrr! I assume they were trying to stay warm.

I leave this post here… Los Osos was a small town that I resided in for many years here on the Central Coast. My three youngest children grew up here and in Morro Bay… It has been so special to revisit this wonderful and beautiful area. I have had many nostalgic moments here this week! Tears and memories and love for this place…

It’s time to pack and head home to Phoenix… Can’t wait to hug my cat!
