Two Of Us Cover- written by Roger Hodgson formerly of Supertramp.

I found this old practice video in the cloud this am. Thought I’d share this heartfelt clip for what it’s worth. I sure had fun trying to cover this. Not easy trying to translate/replicate a song that was played on a 12 string guitar? Anyway, I got a chuckle outta this today.

Adding The Colors Of The Rainbow To My Muted Life

Adding The Colors Of The Rainbow To My Muted Life

Rainbows are indeed one of my favorite illusions… They inspire hopefulness! I always wish on rainbows when I see them.

I’ve had an opportunity to take some quiet time to enjoy my kids, grandkids and my hopes for them! I’m still playing cheerleader as Mom’s usually are. Everyone needs a cheerleader or even a whole cheerleading squad! Encouraging the good in people and situations is where I tend to focus. It’s easy to hear, see and speak the bad. I’m trying not to go there in my mind. A personal challenge this week. Im putting my rose colored glasses back on. It is what I want to see in and of this world!

Clarice has become more trusting and loving in her 12 years of life. She used to be terrified of people. Love heals all creatures I think.

My cat Edward has been having a health issue that I’ve been giving him an antibiotic for twice daily. We are at nearly two weeks of medication that seems torturous for him! Makes me sad to have to force feed him meds out of a syringe. He still loves me! He must have a sense that I’m trying to help him?

He must be feeling better. I haven’t seen him climb a tree in a very long time!
Britt and my G-son Tom. Hard to believe he’s learning to drive! He’s my oldest G-kid. I had a lovely lunch out with these lovelies! Fun! We had lunch where my daughter Delcee is executive server. It’s fun to see her in action. She’s excellent with customer service. A hard working gal with years of experience… Humble, sweet and kind. Kicking butt in life with her kids being her main focus… I’m so proud of both of these successful gals! They are nice people who love their families wholeheartedly ❤️.
Here they are together…
I took a few minutes to create this ticky tacky, but colorful centerpiece for my kitchen table. I love a little bit of color, ok a lot of color. I think we need color in our lives since our lives still feel a bit muted.

Speaking of muted, I hope you will unmute your volume settings and hop on over to my YouTube channel.

for this recent cover video I’ve posted to YouTube. Here’s the link. ▶️ Praying For Time Cover .

Thanks for taking the subscribe to my channel while you’re there 😉.

Cabbage And Cake My St. Patrick’s Day Bake

Cabbage And Cake My St. Patrick’s Day Bake

Domesticity won out with how I spent my time this week. I spent time in my kitchen the past few days. I found a recipe for Stuffed Cabbage rolls! I’m thrilled to have found it as this recipe just looked delicious!

I tried the recipe last night. It was amazing and straightforward. Not difficult to make just time consuming. So worth the effort though!

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
I will be making this meal more often as I was really happy with the outcome!

I decided that it’s all about the cabbage this week! I’m making Corned Beef and Cabbage tomorrow for St. Patrick’s Day. I make the New England Boiled Dinner every St. Patty’s Day. My tradition is to serve lime jello with pears as a side dish. It goes very well with the salty corned beef meal. A nice balance of flavors.

I also made a special cake as my college student daughter and her boyfriend will be joining us for dinner.

I decided to make a rather easy Pistachio Pudding Cake

Planning stage.
Made my cake batter and into the oven it went…
While my cake cooled, I made my Pudding Frosting- It chilled in the refrigerator while my cake cooled…

My finished cake. Chilling till I serve it tomorrow evening.

I also made the lime jello and pears.

All ready for tomorrow as well.
I’d love to be able to find an opportunity to play this week as well. I’m thrilled to have been asked to contribute to a video project! I love that I have been asked to contribute cover music of my favorite Singer/Songwriter Composer

His fan club administrator honors him by putting together birthday greetings from his fans. She creates a special video with greetings, well wishes and cover music from his fans of his music. It is something I’m very proud to be invited to participate in!❤️. I’ll share the YouTube Video link when I receive it!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you☘️!

The Things We Can’t Change

The Things We Can’t Change

Luna is enjoying her doggie hang out area on the patio.

The weather has been amazing. I’m enjoying spending time out on the patio. In AZ we understand that our spring quickly turns into summer. We had a few days this past week that were already in the high 80’s. Now is the time to use the patio!

Amelia helped to build this fire from sticks and logs we have in the backyard. She’s learned a lot about camping.
Not sure my kitty approves of the leprechaun decor as he looks a bit concerned…
My cats enjoy my music studio more than I’ve been able to lately…

The pandemic has turned my home into a home office. It is now permanent, he won’t be going back to an office. That means, I spend my days keeping the house as quiet as possible. This has hurt my spirit more than you can know. The sadness and depression is looming about this. I’m not happy about the fact that I’m no longer able to play and create music!

I’ve done my best to work with this situation in a 1,700 square ft. space. Ugh. Not to mention having to be quiet every day. I resent that my home has turned into a censored, controlled and restricted work place geez! I didn’t sign up for this… life and living have been on lockdown in my home for two years now. The joy of music has all but vanished from the walls of house and my heart.

I pray for many things to change in my world and with global war currently evolving. I think of the innocent Ukraine citizens being run out of their homes with kids and pets in tow. In the middle of winter, during a pandemic, with bombs and guns going off. Now that, is a tragic hardship to have to face. Unimaginable fear and sadnesses there…

Women and children and elderly people having to leave loved ones and their home country! Horrible things are happening in the Ukraine. I suppose in perspective, I should appreciate the 1700 sq. feet of domain I reside in! I can sit in my home and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. I am so grateful, just not happy. The vibe of the worlds problems are heavy and so sad… It’s a helpless and lonely feeling knowing so many wonderful people/families are hurting so much.

It’s interesting to me, that a lot of my channel plays and views lately come from both Russia and the Ukraine. I have been getting many plays lately from Russia of this cover that I posted on my SoundCloud channel. I Believe In Love (cover), written by Elton John. I imagine that a lot of the Russian citizens are extremely angry and saddened by these circumstances in which they are having to endure and grapple with as well!

The things we take for granted! These are not good times for the world. I’m feeling it in my brief outings to the store or while running errands. A lot of people have become unsettled and unhappy… Angry, unsympathetic and mean to each other. Intolerant and very impatient! This is such a sad time in history. Can we just skip to the resolution of the trials? It’s time to move forward, and up and out of the bad times
