Carmel Apple Hand Pies A New Years Eve Tradition

Carmel Apple Hand Pies New Years Eve Tradition

My new New Years Eve tradition! Carmel Apple Hand Pies!
I used pre-made pie crust. I also used canned pie filling. Hey, I didn’t want to spend hours in the kitchen on New Years Eve lol!
I made two different sized hand pies.
I fried a few at a time. They cooked quickly. Turn them so both sides brown evenly.
Sprinkle Cinnamon and Sugar mixture on then immediately after you take them out of the oil.
My taste tester gave her seal of approval.
Great taste tester!
I had planned to have them with our snacks later this evening! This was a lot of fun and worth the time to do!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours

Holiday Splendor The Elf Is On The Blender

Holiday Splendor The Elf Is On The Blender

As Christmas is almost here and the year is closing out, a good time to re-evaluate goals, dreams and desires. Projects to come and notions to let go of.
Never give up on your dreams! I’ve been a creator on YouTube for 6 years now. I haven’t found my niche there but I’m still having fun so… I guess it’s worth the energy to create content.

My YouTube Channel Link please subscribe while you are there👍👊please and thank you!

I’d like to put more energy into writing songs next year. Nobody listens to them but they are a part of me I’d like to leave somewhere.
I’m still desirous of finding a way to make money with my music…
My daughter is going off to college next year so I would like to make some life changes. I have stayed a long time in a marriage that hasn’t been a marriage. I’d like to find my independent self! I’ll need financial freedom to be able to do that. Overwhelming, the idea of having to find financial freedom within my skill set and resume and degree of education lol. Ugh some harsh realities-. Never give up on your dreams! 2020 may be my breakaway year!

Anyway, I wanted this last high school Christmas to be special as I have a feeling that my daughter will be flying away in the fall. She has been an academic success story since she started school. The world is her oyster and she will be successful! She is an amazing person and I couldn’t be more proud of her❤️
Here are a few decorative touches I put in place for the holidays. They took my time, not money to do.

We had a cookie baking day together! So much fun and successful! We made 11 different kinds of treats to share with family, friends, coworkers and teachers. We even kept a few!
Jam Thumbprints & Swedish Tea Cakes
Rolo & m&m Reindeer
m&m Cookies
Butterscotch and Coconut Pecan Dream Bars
Chocolate Covered S’more and Nutella confections

Brownies

Small cookie gifts ready to be delivered!

Candy Jar Treats with Hershey kisses are a sweet gift to give.
Wishing you and yours a lovely holiday!

So This Is Christmas

So This Is Christmas

I’ve been so busy elfing around that I haven’t had much time for playing music. Music hasn’t had time for me either lol my stats are way down. I did however take the time to create a video and a few SoundCloud tracks.

Here they are…
So This Is Christmas Cover. Written by John Lennon.
So This Is Christmas Cover a SoundCloud Track
Last week was an anniversary of the passing of John Lennon so I played a few of his memorable hits in my own personal kind of tribute to I him. I’m pretty sure if he were here, he’d probably be annoyed by all of the covers so many of us butcher. Oh well, a gal can try!
Anyway, I enjoy every min I spend at my keyboard even if I’m the only one enjoying it. It’s a spirit filled adventure every day I can take time out to play!

The moon was spectacular! This is a glimpse that I caught of it yesterday morning.
Last Friday night I saw a meteor streak across the sky! Something that I won’t ever forget! It was colorful and on fire. It appeared to be close by although it clearly was not! A spectacular thing to see!
Leaves me to ponder… Who Controls The Stars- My Original

Thanksgiving Greetings From My House To Yours

Thanksgiving Greetings From My Kitchen And My Piano

Day #1 in my kitchen dwelling and baking brought about 3 homemade pies… Two Pumpkin and a Strawberry Rhubarb pie.
Kitchen dwelling day #2 was even more intense and time consuming. Rewarding in that I was able to get the bulk of my cooking done for my Thanksgiving feast.
Turkey, heating up a ham, mashed potatoes, gravy and some quick crescent rolls are all that I’ll need to cook tomorrow.
Broccoli- Cauliflower casserole
Cornbread Craisin Stuffing
I made my traditional Grammy Ruth’s Cranberry Jello Salad
I love this recipe. I love even more that the recipe is handwritten in my Grams handwriting❤️. I loved, admired and so respected her mad cooking and baking skills. I loved to watch her cook when I was a teen.
I have such fond memories of my Grandmother and my Mom cooking the feast! They were both amazing home cooks! How I miss them so especially at holidays! Nice memories though!

Day #2 was all about the sides! I even baked yams
I set the table. Daughter Delcee and her guy will be here for a few hours for dinner.

I even took an hour or so to clean out my apartment sized pantry lol!

Amelia and I put together a music video and Thanksgiving greeting last Friday. Here is the YouTube link-

May you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones and friends. Fur babies included. Speaking of fur babies, I thought my cat was pretty cute. I caught her brushing up on her chess game…
